JMW RTPI Software

InfoRoute Server

JMW’s InfoRoute Server software operates on a Windows Server 2003 operating system. The application data is held in an Oracle 10g database and uses the latest Java J2EE technology. The InfoRoute Server application receives data from vehicles over the communication network and calculates and displays real-time bus information on the systems passenger displays. The server can provide passenger displays with both real-time information as well as published information for routes and journeys that do not have vehicle equipment fitted.  The server also performs routine fault monitoring and raises alarms as required. Alarms can be raised as SMS messages or via email.  Communication between devices can be achieved using either Band III radio or GPRS.

InfoRoute Client

The client software operates through a web browser and can be available on any PC with an Internet connection. The client software allows devices and timetables to be configured, as well as providing a reporting tool to allow system and bus operator performance to be measured. The InfoRoute system can support timetables in ATCO-Cif 5.10 and TransXchange 2.1 formats. JMW have also implemented bespoke software for the import of timetable data in other formats where required. Bus stop information can be imported in the standard NaPTAN format either as a csv or XML file. The software fully supports TransXchange 2.1 features for holidays and special operating conditions, as well as rules and conditions for special organisations (for example school and college term times).  The standard reports include compliance analysis tools that can provide a range of outputs on how early or late a bus service is operating. Trend analysis is available to view compliance over a period of time. These reports can also produce timing-point analysis reports providing information on timetable compliance down to individual stops.

A mapping interface based on Google Maps is provided that can show the status of displays and vehicles in real-time.
